FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS COACHING?
I know that since you landed on a coaching website you already have a good understanding, but I still want to make sure we’re on the same page.
Simply put, coaching takes clients from where they are to where they want to be. It is focused on your present and your future. It is a goal oriented and a result driven process. The coach is guiding the client to determine, based on their unique situation the next steps for development. Using professional knowledge and skills, the coach is orienting and supporting the clients in their journey to making any area of their life the best it could be. Life coaches are not health professionals, and they do not diagnose.
WHY IS IT TRANSFORMATIONAL?
We do not see things as they are, we see them as we are. Anais Nin
Clients go through a lot of realizations and get many insights and perspectives that weren’t available to them before. They learn how to become more effective in whatever it is that they’re trying to accomplish. But most importantly they learn new ways of seeing what’s possible for them and how much potential they have, to create what they truly want for themselves.
IS COACHING FOR ME?
People are seeking that type of support when they realize, they aren’t particularly happy with their current situation and have the willingness to change it for the better. Simply put, they want more from life and their potential. They feel the need to improve their situation and grow in areas important to them, they want to do it faster and to the best of their ability. There are many different people who use the services of coaches, including athletes, actors, entrepreneurs, executives, managers, professionals etc. They all have come to realize that very few people can get at the top of their game all by themselves. Even if they’re trying, it will take them much longer and times more the effort. The truth is that no one has to do it alone and struggle. That is why coaches do what they do. Having that support system is important to keep mental, spiritual and physical performance consistent and on track. We all need support to bridge the gap between our current success and where we want to see ourselves in the future.
This is one of the reasons that life coaching became one of the fastest growing professions in the world. People see the benefit of it. If you are ready to explore what could happen when you get to your top game, look for a coach today!
DOES COACHING PROMISE THE RESULTS I'M LOOKING FOR?
If clients are willing to do the work needed to achieve positive, lasting change – they can definitely improve. If not, coaching could be a waste of time. You do not get better because you read a self-help book or hire a coach. You will only achieve positive, lasting change in behavior when you do the work required to make this happen. The formula for success is a committed client and a masterful coach who can bring the strategies and skills needed to facilitate the coaching process.
IS COACHING SIMILAR TO THERAPY, COUNSELLING OR ADVISING?”
Coaching is not a form of advice, consulting, counseling, mentoring or therapy. The coaching process applies to professional projects, personal goals and transitions by analyzing the current situation, identifying existing and potential challenges and obstacles and creating a plan of action designed to achieve specific outcomes.

- Short term and long term plans
- How to execute the plans
- Working to remove the internal and external obstacles
- Support and accountability
- Making sure you stick to the plan
HOW LONG DOES A COACHING ENGAGEMENT TAKE?
A coaching engagement lasts about 6 months to truly invite change. Clients may renew their engagements.
WHERE DO THE SESSIONS TAKE PLACE
Sessions take place over the internet- skype for business, FaceTime and phone of course. If you’re in the New York City area coaching in person could also be arranged. Travel outside of New York City and the USA is also available based on the engagement type and arrangements.
All completed sessions, seminars or workshops are non- transferable and non-refundable.
HOW ARE YOU TRAINED?
I am a Certified Professional Coach and I’ve completed my training at IPEC Institute, one of the 3 Institutes in the USA accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Before my training, I have obtained a B.A. in Philosophy from Sofia University, Bulgaria. I have completed multiple workshops and training from some of the top coaches in the country and constantly gain knowledge with the help of mentors, readings, courses, and classes. I believe that constant growth and skill development is a huge part of a well-rounded coaching practice and I am committed to serving my clients to the best of my abilities.
The most significant attribute of coaches is their “signature presence,” a phrase coined by author Mary Beth O’Neill in Executive Coaching with Backbone and Heart. She defines it as ”bringing yourself when you coach — your values, passion, creativity, emotion, and discerning judgment — to any given moment with a client.”
